Percussion Teacher – Mr. Peter Tevella assists our fabulous orchestra every year by contributing his talents to the percussion section once a week.

Dues and Subscriptions - these are licensing fees that the school pays for Brainpop and Accelerated Reader.  Brainpop is an animated educational site for kids that many of our teachers use, and Accelerated Reader is an afterschool weekly reading comprehension program administered by Ms. Hasuike and Mr. Wong.
     Sponsor Brainpop for one grade level for $250   (Total annual cost of $1,500).
      Sponsor Accelerated Reader for one grade level for $165   (Total annual cost of $1,000)

FAME Night - This is Franklin’s Math and Science Night held every spring, where each class comes up with a hands-on science project to present to all the students and parents of the school.  Guest scientists include an astronomer and “reptile guy,” and some of the treats that are served include fried crickets! 
Sponsor materials and projects for one grade level for $230 (Total annual cost of $1,150.00 (Grades 1-5)

Franklin Times - this is Franklin’s student-written, parent-guided newspaper that fosters interviewing and writing skills among our budding journalists!  Costs cover materials and printing.  Sponsor 100 issues of Franklin Times for $100  (Total annual cost of $1,800.00).

Fifth Grade Culmination - most of the costs are covered by the parents of the fifth graders, but we do provide two $50 scholarships for graduating fifth graders.  FULFILLED! Thank you to Willie Dawkins & Arun Vir-Dawkins

Holiday Tree - every Christmas season FOF purchases a Holiday Tree that our children decorate with their own handmade ornaments.  It is displayed in the lobby of the school around the holidays.  Sponsor Franklin's Christmas Tree for $175

Teacher Support - FOF provides each teacher with cash stipends for classroom materials.  K-3d grade teachers receive $250, and 4th-5th grade teachers receive $350.

Sponsor a 4-5 grade teacher's classroom for $350 (Total annual cost is $1,400)

Copying Support - FOF supports its teachers in the day-to-day instruction they provide to our children by covering the
costs of copying, and providing administrative assistance, so that teachers are not required to take the time to do it themselves.
Sponsor a month of copying for $250 (Total annual cost of $2500)
