Franklin Kids!
Franklin Kids, a parent run organization, creatively addresses the Learning and Enrichment needs of the students at Franklin Avenue Elementary School. The goal of this organization is to provide the best quality Learning and Enrichment programming at an affordable cost.  The key components of our program includes; Enrichment classes in art, theater, science, and physical education, targeted homework help, playground activities as well as creative art projects tied to upcoming holidays and school events.  Unlike pre-packaged Learning and Enrichment programs, Franklin Kids is designed to evolve with the ever-changing needs and desires of the children and parents at Franklin.  Utilizing staff and parents from our own school community allows us to inspire students with professional talents and passions that are unique to our community.  It also assures continual updating of the selection of classes available. We welcome input from parents, teachers and children in our effort to ensure that their experience is engaging, productive, and fun.

FRANKLIN KIDS CARE CLUB - January 2012

Welcome to the club! We are all about kids helping our community, so thank you for joining us.  We have fun activities planned for this session, such as making cards for homeless children living at PATH (People Assisting The Homeless), organizing a canned food drive, baking bread, and several others.  We want to teach children that they play an important role in improving the lives and experiences of those in need.

What are our goals?
    •    To foster a spirit of appreciation and helping others;
    •    To encourage positive discussions about what it means to be a community;
    •    To demonstrate why it is important to give our time and effort to assist those in need;
    •    To provide opportunities for kids of all ages to participate in community service activities that will directly benefit those in need.

Children will also be able to earn special patches for completing their service activities. More information on this will follow during the coming weeks.  We look forward to an exciting session!

Franklin Kids Yard Sale! 

Thank you one and all for your support of our most recent yard sale! With a significant increase in the need for scholarships this year, these yard sales help! We raised almost $400.00!!


We also donated leftover children’s clothing and books to an orphanage in Mexico, and made a tax-deductible contribution to Out of the Closet – thoughtful & thrifty! Goodness knows we all need a little help sometimes!
