Who Are The Friends of Franklin? Friends of Franklin, (FOF, Inc.) is made up of parents just like you.
We
are the only parent organization at the school. We meet monthly and
discuss issues that affect our school. We work on ways to raise funds
to pay for various enrichment programs and we decide which programs we
want to support. At the end of every term, we lose important active
families to graduation. We are in need of new blood, new ideas and new
energy. Please get involved. Choose a committee that interests you or
join us at our monthly meetings. Everyone has something to offer. Look

friends.of.franklin@gmail.comWhat Do We Do?Art, Music, Science, Technology and Field Trips, all once provided for by the district, are now luxuries. At Franklin, all our students are able to participate in a wide variety of enrichment programs due to the fundraisers that we plan and organize.
Friends of Franklin has begun to lobby for
improvements to the physical school plant. We have succeeded in getting the roof repaired, the fencing replaced and new
playground asphalt. We are now working on getting modern playground
equipment, and updating the plumbing for the bathrooms.
We
believe that the school is a community center, bringing together
families from diverse cultures. We all benefit from crossing barriers
and gaining understanding and tolerance. We rely completely on parent
involvement and that's why we need parents like you to get involved in any way you can...plus, it's fun!

of Franklin's goal is to make Franklin Ave. School the best it can be. We are on our way to becoming the premier elementary school in the city. Please join us at our next
meeting; on the second Tuesday of every month, at 6:00 PM, in the
Auditorium. If you have the time, you could bring a pot-luck dish,
dessert or beverage. Check back here to verify date and time.
